Today, the EMCDDA Director welcomes a high-level delegation from Kosovo*, headed by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The discussion topics are focused on the general alignment of the drug information system with the EU standards, namely through the strengthening of the national drug observatory and the setting-up of a national early warning system on new psychoactive substances. The Delegation from Kosovo* also met with the President of the Executive Board of the Portuguese Institute for Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies (ICAD), as well as with representatives of the Portuguese Drugs Dissuasion Commission.

The EMCDDA cooperates with Kosovo* through an EU funded technical cooperation project, under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.
